Our take
I picked up the Cuisinart PowerBlend Duet because I wanted a single machine that could handle both blending and basic food processing. The 7-cup capacity is decent for small batches, and the 500-watt motor churns through frozen fruit and ice reasonably well. I appreciate the 7 speeds and pulse control, which give me flexibility for different textures. The chrome body looks nice on the counter, but it's mostly plastic underneath. It's not a powerhouse, but for $60, it's a solid performer for occasional use. Just keep expectations in check — heavy dough or large chopping jobs aren't its strong suit.
